Clear and responsible use
eMyHome Terms of Use
Effective 31 August 2026. These Terms govern access to and use of the private eMyHome Family OS provided by vHiTech.
1. Eligibility and family accounts
You must provide accurate information and have legal capacity to accept these Terms. A parent or legal guardian must authorize and supervise a child account where required by law. Family owners and administrators may manage membership and permissions, but they do not gain unrestricted access to records protected by individual or guardian-aware privacy controls.
2. Accounts and security
You are responsible for protecting your sign-in methods, devices and recovery access. Do not share credentials or attempt to use another person’s account. Notify vHiTech promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require re-authentication, revoke sessions or temporarily restrict access to protect users and the service.
3. Private family spaces and content
eMyHome is private by default and is not a public social network. You retain rights in content you submit. You grant vHiTech a limited permission to host, process, transmit, back up and display that content only as needed to operate features you request, apply your selected visibility, protect the service and comply with law. You must have the right to upload or share content and must respect the privacy of family members, especially children.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use eMyHome to break the law; harm, exploit, harass or impersonate others; expose children to unsafe content or contact; distribute malware or spam; bypass authentication, permissions, tenant isolation, rate limits or security controls; probe infrastructure without written authorization; infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; or interfere with service availability. Reporting and moderation controls must not be abused.
5. Family Assistant and automated features
AI, transcription, OCR and other automated outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and are provided as assistance, not professional medical, legal, financial or emergency advice. Review important outputs before acting. Family-data scopes remain off until explicitly enabled and are still limited by your current permissions. Do not submit content you are not authorized to disclose.
6. Plans, purchases and renewals
Some features require a paid plan, seat or credit. Prices, included features, renewal terms and applicable taxes are shown before purchase. Purchases made through Apple, Google or another payment provider are also governed by that provider’s terms. Verified refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, grace periods and expiration may change entitlements. Expiration does not remove access to required export or deletion pathways.
7. Third-party and platform services
eMyHome may use or link to services such as identity providers, app stores, notification delivery, storage, maps, AI providers and real-time communication infrastructure. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you interact with them. vHiTech is not responsible for third-party content or services outside its control.
8. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may change for security, legal, technical or product reasons. We will provide reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects users, except when urgent action is needed for safety, security or legal compliance.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using eMyHome and request account deletion through the documented pathway. We may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security threats, legal requirements or non-payment, using proportionate measures where practical. Family content belonging to other members may remain subject to their rights, integrity requirements and lawful retention.
10. Intellectual property
eMyHome software, design, branding and service materials belong to vHiTech or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership. Feedback may be used to improve eMyHome without identifying you or disclosing private family content.
11. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, eMyHome is provided on an “as available” basis. vHiTech does not exclude responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. Each party remains responsible for losses reasonably caused by its breach, negligence or unlawful conduct. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
